Increasing solidarity actions
Carmila's shopping centres are useful environments for local residents and play a key role in social life. In 2024, they will be organising at least one highlight on one of the three themes identified as essential for the regions: employment, health and solidarity.
Job datings, awareness-raising events such as Pink October and second-hand markets: more than 2,500 CSR events were organised, reaching over 1.8 million people and raising €281,000 for charities.
The Prix Engagés pour demain, a call for solidarity projects, aims to support social entrepreneurs with a financial grant and one year of rent offered in our shopping centers for innovative and responsible projects.
The 2024 edition rewarded two initiatives for a more united future at the Carrefour Ermont shopping center, promoting digital inclusion and soft mobility:
- SOS Tech won the Engagé pour Demain 2024 Prize in the Ageing Well category thanks to its digital support workshops for seniors. Three times a month, these sessions allow participants to familiarize themselves with IT and everyday digital tools.
- Solicycle, winner of the Soft Mobility Prize, advocates for more sustainable mobility by offering a bicycle repair workshop and the sale of reconditioned bicycles.
